Après le numéro spécial Avengers #34.1 consacré à Hyperion, c’est au tour de Sam Humphries (The Legendary Star-Lord) et du dessinateur français Bengal de s’intéresser à deux membres indissociables de la nouvelle formation des Vengeurs: Nightmask et Starbrand.
Lorsque ce dernier commence à perdre sa compréhension de l’humanité, c’est à son collègue de lui ramener les pieds sur Terre. Malheureusement pour lui, la menace cosmique Kolobus est sur son chemin.
