Dans le cadre du 80ème anniversaire de Marvel Comics, le scénariste Roger Stern va ajouter un nouveau chapitre à sa longue prestation sur les Avengers (plus de 60 épisodes dans les années 80).
Avengers : Loki Unleashed est un one-shot dont l’action se déroulera juste après l’attaque du manoir des Avengers dans la fameuse saga Under Siege (Avengers #270 à 277).
Ce numéro spécial est dessiné par Ron Lim (Silver Surfer) et sortira en septembre.
