Comme révélé l’année dernière, le scénariste John Arcudi quitte l’univers de Hellboy après 12 ans de bons et loyaux services, laissant la place vacante sur le célèbre titre B.P.R.D. à partir du 140ème numéro d’avril.
A l’origine, c’est Cameron Stewart (Fight Club 2, Batgirl) qui devait s’occuper, au scénario et au dessin, du prochain arc mais, faute de temps, c’est finalement Chris Roberson (Hellboy and the B.P.R.D. 1953), nouvel associé de Mike Mignola, qui racontera cette aventure sur la jeune recrue Ashley Strode à l’aide des notes de Stewart et du prolifique dessinateur Mike Norton (Revival).
Les couvertures sont quant à elles illustrées par Duncan Fegredo.
