Que des trucs courts, one-shots, mini-séries (Captain America - Man out of time, A-Force, Spider-Geddon…), des épisodes de diverses séries…jamais de prestation longue sur un titre…
D’ailleurs, Jorge Jimenez avait annoncé travailler avec le futur Scénariste de Batman lorsque T4 annonçait son départ. A suivre donc…
Mais là, on s’intéresse à la prise de pouvoir de Williamson sur le titre phare de l’éditeur, Batman!
Que dire?
A l’évidence, Williamson est un auteur qui respecte son précédent (prochain… précédent…) en prenant le soin de créer un petit épisode dans la transition. Et de ce point de vue là, c’est réussi. Il referme calmement le chapitre (réussi globalement de Tynion mais je le relirai pour avoir un avis tranché) et annonce la suite en piochant dans le patrimoine du personnage en ressortant la période « Batman Inc. » remise au goût du jour par Grant Morrison avec JH Williams III en son temps.
On retrouve les Batmen (Ranger, Hood notamment) dans la mouise totale. Il n’en fallait pas plus à Bats pour repasser son costume d’antan (celui designé par David Finch - je me souviens toujours de la phrase de Bats lorsqu’il voit le Leviathan : « Game on » - raaaaah quelle époque!!!).
Passé l’excitation, le numéro est solide, posé et plutôt pas mal dessiné même si le digital a la part belle.
