A l’occasion de l’évènement Futures End, le scénariste Dan Jurgens retrouvera une sa création Booster Gold à travers un épisode spécial illustré par Will Conrad, Brett Booth, Ron Frenz, Mark Irwin, Stephen Thompson, Steve Lightle, Moritat et Dan Jurgens lui-même.
Vu pour la dernière fois en 2012 dans Justice League Internationnal où il disparaissait en assistant malgré lui au baiser de Superman et Wonder Woman qu’il devait empêcher, Booster se retrouve piégé hors du temps dans la ville de Gotham en 1860.
