Le scénariste anglais Peter Milligan (Eternal Warrior : Days of Steel) fait son retour chez Valiant avec le projet Britannia, en collaboration avec le dessinateur Juan Jose Ryp (Wrath of the Eternal Warrior).

Cette mini-série en quatre chapitres suit Antonius Axia - premier inspecteur de la civilisation humaine - dans son enquête concernant les événements surnaturels survenus en Grande-Bretagne. Sans le savoir, il devient l’unique espoir de Rome pour reprendre le contrôle de cette frontière barbare attaquée par des monstres tout droit sortis de la mythologie.

Britannia #1 sort en septembre sous une couverture de Cary Nord.

Plutôt Brendan McCarthy, mais ce titre m’intéressait ; et c’est vrai que la coïncidence fait que je m’intéresse aussi à Milligan par la force des choses. :wink:

Je connais très mal les travaux de McCarthy, et si je suis très fan de Peter Milligan, c’est précisément son travail en collaboration avec McCarthy que je connais le moins bien chez lui.
Faudrait vraiment que je me penche là-dessus.

Jolie carrière pour McCarthy, j’ai l’impression ; entre ça et son travail sur la franchise « Mad Max » de George Miller, on dirait qu’il a un joli tableau de chasse…

J’avais bien aimé sa mini-série Fever qui réunit les deux personnages phares de Ditko.

Il y a aussi pas mal de projets BD, qui sont tombé à l’eau, il aurait dû dessiner Zenith par exemple (mais ses apports sont assez important du moins d’après les recherches que j’ai faites), ou encore avec Morrison une histoire de la Doom Patrol.
Il est celui qui a inventé Danny the Street également.

Bref un auteur plutôt intéressant. :slight_smile:
