Le site Comicvine a dévoilé la première image « promo » réalisée par Rebekah Isaacs de la dixième saison comics de « Buffy contre les Vampires » et « Angel & Faith ».
Pour le moment, seul le scénariste Christos Gage (Angel & Faith - Season 9) a officialisé sa participation, sous une forme ou une autre, au contraire du dessinateur George Jeanty qui semble occupé par l’adaptation d’une autre franchise de Joss Whedon: Serenity.

C’est finalement le scénariste Christos Gage et la dessinatrice Rebekah Isaacs, duo à l’origine de la neuvième saison de Angel & Faith, qui se chargeront, sous la supervision du créateur Joss Whedon, de raconter les nouvelles aventures de Buffy et du Scooby-Gang dans la dixième saison comics de la série « Buffy, The Vampire Slayer ».
Le scénariste Victor Gischler, déjà auteur de la mini-série Spike, se chargera quant à lui de la nouvelle saison de la série « Angel & Faith » en collaboration avec le dessinateur Will Conrad (Secret Avengers).

There’s a lot going on. Not the least of which is the Buffy/Giles reunion – don’t worry, it’ll happen on-panel. Oh, and there’ll be a surprise development in our first issue that is something Joss wanted to do in ‹ Season 9 › but we didn’t end up having room for. Drew Greenberg reminded me of it when I ran into him at the DC Comics ‹ Man of Steel › screening, and I’m actually thrilled it didn’t happen last season, because it fits so much better this time around. »[/quote]

Fin du premier arc et comme on s’y attendait, c’est bien cool. Ça s’annonce même comme la meilleure saison « comics » de Buffy après… Le Angel & Faith - season 9 de la même équipe.
Je considère facilement Christos Gage comme un des meilleurs scénaristes de sa génération malgré une production en dent de scie, très variée, qui démontre souvent son talent pour s’approprier les jouets des autres (en tête, Stormwatch P.H.D., Avengers The Initiative, G.I. Joe: Cobra, Thunderbolts), de trouver le ton juste (son imitation du « rythme » Whedonien est parfaite) et d’impliquer ses personnages dans des sous-intrigues personnelles qu’il règle rapidement (Civil War: Rubicon). Et** Rebekah Isaacs** n’est pas en reste; son trait élégant, quoiqu’un peu raide, permet d’identifier facilement les personnages sans tomber dans un style « photographique ».
C’est très chouette. Et c’est une belle récompense pour les fans.
