Pour accompagner la sortie du film Captain America: The Winter Soldier, l’éditeur Marvel Comics proposera le one-shot Captain America: Homecoming de Fred Van Lente et Tom Grummett se déroulant dans l’univers « cinematic ». Van Lente était déjà à l’origine, en 2011, du web-comics adaptant (dans les grandes lignes) le film Captain America: The First Avenger.
