Si, sans surprise, les équipes artistiques régulières sont maintenues sur les deux premières mini-séries, Brian Wood laisse la destinée des mutants entre les mains de Joshua Hale Fialkov.
Pour rappel, Cataclysm fait suite à la mini-série Hunger où, suites aux manipulations excessives des héros sur le continuum espace-temps pour empêcher Ultron de détruire la Terre (Age of Ultron), Galactus débarque dans l’univers Ultimate pour satisfaire sa faim.
