And what exactly is Swamp Thing’s role in all of this?

Will Damage earn his spot as the world’s strongest hero-or will he be branded a villain forever? It’s Damage versus the Justice League, and it’ll take more than brute strength to win the day. Even with an unstoppable alter ego, Ethan’s gotta use both brains and brawn to have a hope against the League, because they’ve got a knock-’em-dead trick up their sleeve as a nuclear option. The first year of Damage’s story comes to an end-and a new chapter begins! And how does Deadman fit into the picture?
DAMAGE #16
By Robert Venditti, Aaron Lopresti and Matt Ryan
Captured by Echidna, the goddess of monsters, Ethan and Congo Bill must rely on their wits as humans rather than strength as giant powerhouses in order to survive. But do these men stand a chance against the mother of all colossal beasts? Find out in the shocking finale of our series! FINAL ISSUE
Damage gets a new home: the Hall of Justice! The Justice League takes in former super-soldier Ethan Avery after their clash from last ish, and looks to train him to better use his powers. The lovefest ends quickly, though, when the League’s tactics cause Ethan to have flashbacks to the military experiments that transformed him into Damage. Batman may be the World’s Greatest Detective, but it might take more than a big brain to stop a power-house like Damage from setting his own path. And oh, what a path he chooses! Enter Damage: monster hunter!
Stranded on an island of monsters! Following his run-in with the Justice League, Damage was dropped in a remote location in the middle of the ocean, a lost land of some of the most dangerous creatures to ever roam the Earth. And now Damage is one of them— but only for an hour a day. The rest of the time, Ethan Avery is an ordinary man, and he is going to have to survive by his wits if he ever wants to get back to the mainland alive. That is, if there isn’t more to this island than is obvious on the surface. Is there a more sinister reason that all these monsters have been stranded together?
Pick up Damage #14 when it hits shelves on February 20th, 2019.

Batman has banished Ethan Avery to an island where monstrous beasts and creatures roam. Trouble is, they are monsters around the clock, and Ethan can only be Damage for one hour each day. Luckily, Congo Bill serves as the island’s caretaker, and he’s giving Ethan a quick lesson in how to avoid becoming a light afternoon snack for a hungry fiend. Strike the wrong balance between humanity and Damage, and Ethan won’t survive to eat his next meal himself; get it right, and Damage could become king of the monsters!
