Je continue mon admiration pour ces titres.
Je trouve ça sain de faire sortir, même un tant soit peu, les comics des seuls comics-shops.
Bon, retoucher les œuvres (comme ça a pu être le cas chez Turner), je suis pas fan, mais c’est bien la seule ombre au tableau de cette initiative.
C’est DC qui perpétue le format « revue anthologique » qui a quasiment disparu chez nous…
Oui.
Tout en mélangeant nouveautés et « classiques » (notez les guillemets) du passé.
Franchement, ce format est pour moi une réussite éditoriale de DC, et je serais curieux de voir les chiffres de ventes (pas forcément dégueu, sinon, je vois mal Walmart rester dans le bateau).
Le Superman Giant est relancé au numéro 1, avec une nouvelle équipe pour l’histoire inédite (Robert Venditti et Paul Pelletier) et des rééditions :
Le méga-crossover de la CW Crisis on Infinite Earths aura droit à des chapitres supplémentaires…en comics ! La collection DC/Walmart va en en effet accueillir deux numéros en lien avec l’event du petit écran.
Les deux Crisis on Infinite Earths (qui sortiront aux U.S. mi-décembre et mi-janvier), proposeront à chaque numéro 4 histoires, deux inédites et deux rééditions. Les inédits sont écrits par Marc Guggenheim et Marv Wolfman et dessinés par Tom Derenick et Tom Grummett. Et les rééditions seront des chapitres de la Crisis de Wolfman et Perez.

The story that we’re attempting to tell with our interpretation of Crisis on Infinite Earths is so ambitious, we couldn’t confine it to five hours. I’m incredibly excited that we’re getting the chance to tell an ‘in canon’ story that ties directly into the crossover narrative. The comics will enable us to include characters and concepts that couldn’t be included in the crossover, plus the chance to collaborate further with original Crisis architect Marv Wolfman is just icing on the cake.

DC publiera fin septembre un numéro spécial Wonder Woman 1984 qui proposera 2 histoires, deux préquelles du film de Patty Jenkins. La première sera scénarisée par Anna Obropta (l’une des productrices du long métrage) et Louise Simonson et dessinée par Bret Blevins et la seconde sera signée par Marguerite Sauvage et Steve Pugh.
Le one-shot sera d’abord vendu dans les Walmart avant d’être disponible en comic-shop.
