Je l’ai connu plus inspiré Otto.
Oui, c’est un peu vide.
Pas mal, sans plus.
James Tynion IV et Matthew Rosenberg proposent un numéro trop classique dans la forme, avec un léger twist prévisible mais bienvenu.
On suit ainsi Andrew Bennett, « I Vampire », qui vient solliciter de l’aide de la Justice League au Hall of Justice. Hal Jordan l’aide à se remettre d’une exposition au soleil, alors qu’Andrew révèle la mort de Mary, Queen of Blood, son ex mais surtout dirigeante des vampires. Cet événement cause des remous dans la Nation Vampire, et Andrew a cherché la piste du tueur jusqu’à remonter à la Legion of Doom, en fait assassinée par des vampires, même si plusieurs super-vilains ont été transformés. Lex Luthor, blessé et torturé, demande à Bennett à être tué, mais lui confie son sang, qui pourrait aider. Andrew révèle que la guerre entre les vampires et les vivants a commencé, alors que Zan vient un peu embêter Hal. Mais il est révélé que Hal est un vampire, qui peut supporter le soleil grâce à l’anneau. Il tue Zan, il tue Andrew et semble bien « infiltré », alors qu’Andrew a en fait laissé des indices à Batman.
Ca se lit, hein, mais c’est essentiellement un gros flashback assez prévisible. Le léger twist est bien fichu, mais l’ensemble est quand même très moyen. Otto Schmidt est lui aussi léger aux dessins, plutôt inspiré dans un flashback très rouge et intense, mais bon on a vu beaucoup mieux de lui.
Belle déception. J’en attendais peu, et j’ai été quand même déçu.

Comme prévu avec ce type de série à la dceased, ça invente rien mais c’est assez fun, pas moche et assez rythmé pour se laisser suivre.
Un petit peu de gore viteuf mais surtout ce petit soupçon de paranoia qui fait se demander qui a été converti ou pas.
