Si on ne sait toujours pas ce qu’il adviendra de Deadpool après sa « mort » orchestrée par les scénaristes Gerry Duggan et Brian Posehn, Secret Wars sera l’occasion pour le scénariste Cullen Bunn (Night of the Living Deadpool, The Return of the Living Deadpool) de vendre une de ses premières propositions de mini-série: revisiter l’évènement Secret Wars de 1984 à travers les yeux (et les agissements!) du célèbre mercenaire à la grande gueule.

Si aucun dessinateur n’a été annoncé pour le moment, c’est l’artiste Tony Harris qui se charge de la couverture du premier numéro:
