Après Carnage Reigns, Marvel déchaînera l’« été des Symbiotes ». Cet event se déroulera dans les séries Venom et Red Goblin, dans des titres dérivés comme Web of Carnage, Cult of Carnage : Misery et Edge of Venomverse Unlimited Infinity Comic (ce dernier étant publié en numérique) avant de se terminer en août dans la mini-série Death of The Venomverse.
Death of the Venomverse sera publié sur un rythme hebdomadaire et verra un Carnage tout puissant écumer le multivers avec un seul but : tuer tous les Venoms ! La mini-série marquera le retour chez Marvel de Cullen Bunn, associé à Gerardo Sandoval aux dessins. Chaque épisode proposera une back-up par le co-créateur de Venom, David Michelinie.
