L’éditeur DC Comics a perdu les droits d’exploitations de Doc Savage au profit de Dynamite Entertainment. En charge des nouvelles aventures de l’Homme de Bronze, l’éditeur a fait appel au prolifique Chris Roberson (The Shadow, Codename Action) qui s’est déjà illustré sur les personnages dits « pulp » avec la maxi-série Masks.
Pour son premier arc en collaboration avec la dessinatrice Bilquis Evely, Roberson développe une histoire en huit chapitres qui partira de la première apparition publique de Doc Savage en 1933 jusqu’à notre époque. Il y expliquera ce qui est arrivé à l’aventurier après le dernier archivage périodique de ses enquêtes à la fin des années 1940. Il reviendra notamment sur le cabinet pour criminels où le héros « soignait » ses ennemis de leur pulsion maléfique afin qu’ils ne viennent plus inquiéter le statu quo.
Sortie du premier numéro prévue pour décembre 2013.

C’est sûr qu’en plus d’entendre Grosminet, ce doublage (cette espèce de cheveu sur la langue) va à l’encontre de ce qu’est Doc Savage : l’incarnation de la perfection.
