Si la nouvelle direction de Earth-2 me plaît plus que les dernières années pitoyables, je trouve que DC oublie de mettre en valeur ses personnages. Cela me fait regretter la période imparfaite certes de Robinson qui les mettait plus en lumière.
Mais l’arc d’Abnett, que j’ai décrié, commence à prendre forme. Une bonne forme. Il était temps.

C’était la JSA de l’univers New52 et ça ne le deviendra jamais. Pour beaucoup de raisons à vrai dire.
D’une part, la JSA, c’est la JSA. C’est LE patrimoine DC et un encrage très puissant pour tous mes héros favoris. S’il fallait illustrer la notion d’Héritage chez DC, j’énoncerai la Société de Justice sans hésiter.
D’autre part, en virant Robinson, DC a flingué une bonne histoire riche en développement. Et sans cesse, cette Terre-2 aura été la pauvre tête de turc de DC qui essaiera sans succès de réinventer cette fraîcheur qu’était la JSA à l’envers (car le Trinité est la référence de Terre-2). En essayant de relancer l’idée, DC s’est enfoncé, enfoncé et enfoncé…
Et le pauvre Dan Abnett n’aura pas réussi à mettre au point une mayonnaise légère et savoureuse. Une nouvelle fois, les « Merveilles » n’auront jamais vécu de grandes aventures malgré Convergence et World’s End (Quand j’y pense, purée, il y avait l’ombre de Darkseid depuis les débuts et les scénaristes n’en auront aucune profité…bandes de nouilles.
Bon, à force de tourner en rond autour de cette idée de toujours relancer, Terre-2 aura au final loupé sa vie là où elle avait une superbe fenêtre de tir pour une vraie franchise.
