Transfuge de chez Marvel, le scénariste Sam Humphries (Star-Lord) débarque chez DC Comics pour travailler avec Geoff Johns et Ethan Van Sciver. En tout cas sur l’épisode spécial Green Lanterns : Rebirth, épisode lié à une franchise dont le directeur du divertissement est très attaché.
Humphries écrira ensuite en solo la série Green Lanterns qu’il résume comme étant le film L’arme fatale s’il se déroulait dans l’espace. Sous le crayons des artistes Robson Rocha et Ardian Syaf, la série développera les plus jeunes recrues terrestres du Corps des Lanternes : Simon Baz et Jessica Cruz. Leur mission ? contrer Atrocitus et sa bande de Red Lanterns !
