When two Halloween classics collide!
I set out to imagine what might happen if Disney’s Legend of Sleepy Hollow crossed paths with Carpenter’s Halloween. From Sleepy Hollow to Haddonfield, Katrina Van Tassel steps in as Laurie Strode, while Ichabod Crane becomes the Shape.
This project began as a simple sketch of Ichabod as Michael Myers, but it slowly evolved into a desire to paint the Wallace house, add Laurie/Katrina, and give the image a book cover/movie poster feel.
It’s striking how much Ichabod and Michael Myers share: both defined by their SHAPES, both endlessly chasing a girl, both driven by an insatiable hunger, and both forever bound to Halloween night.
