Jimmy Palmiotti et Amanda Conner ne pouvaient résister très longtemps à l’envie de réunir deux de leurs plus gros succès: Power Girl et l’ex-copine du Joker.
Après un arc de la série Harley Quinn, le duo improbable se retrouvera à l’affiche d’une mini-série en quatre numéros dont le premier sortira en juin prochain. Ce sera l’occasion pour le couple d’auteurs de retrouver notre compatriote Stéphane Roux.

Faudra quand même m’expliquer comment on s’engage à dessiner une série et ne même pas être capable d’aligner deux épisodes entiers à la suite. S’'il est déjà à la bourre maintenant, combien de pages fera-t-il sur le #3 ?
Soit l’éditeur lui laisse plus de temps (surtout si la série n’en impacte pas, ce qui a l’air d’être le cas ici), soit l’artiste ne fait qu’un épisode sur deux (le temps de livrer 22 pages tout seul).

Stephane Roux, Finch, Mc Niven, Hitch, Ramos, Bachalo…
Rare sont les dessinateurs qui arrivent à tenir sur la durée 12 numéros par an.
Tu vas avoir Bagley, Romita Jr, Immonen et quelques autres, mais ils sont peu nombreux.
Humberto Ramos le peut. Largement même. C’est un des dessinateurs le plus rapide de la profession.
C’est pour ça que sur toutes les séries Marvel sur lesquels il est depuis environ 10 ans il est toujours secondé par un autre artiste pour qu’ils tournent un arc sur deux.
C’est sur que comparé à un Madureira, grand champion devant l’éternel ou un Campbell, c’est une flèche le Ramos, je concède même qu’il a finis en temps et ne heure son excellent Crimson, même si pour celà il a du adapter son style vers mi-parcours et le rendre plus light afin de tenir les délais (dommage j’adorais la période gros pieds).
Je suis fan de Ramos attention je ne dis pas qu’il mauvais, juste qu’aujourd’hui Humberto ne tient pas la cadence.
Ces 5 dernières années, il a travaillé sur Amazing Spider-Man lorsque le titre était quasiment hebdomadaire (et il faut savoir qu’à l’époque, il s’occupait aussi des numéros spéciaux comme les FCBD). Donc oui, il collabore avec d’autres artistes, forcément, mais il a cependant réalisé la saga Spider-Island (les 6 chapitres) en moins de deux mois et il a souvent été appelé à la rescousse à la dernière minute (Par exemple, il a illustré un numéro de Fins du Monde alors qu’il était en vacance, si je me souviens bien).
Ramos est un dessinateur très productif.
Oui il est productif, mais non il ne tient pas la cadence mensuel.
C’est illogique. On va faire parler les chiffres: Entre janvier 2011 et janvier 2013, il a réalisé 22 épisodes d’Amazing Spider-Man dont un était double (le #700). Sur les 32 numéros de Superior Spider-Man, il en a illustré 10 et demi alors qu’il travaillait sur Fairy Tales. C’est quand même la preuve que le gars est capable d’assurer la cadence.
S’il ne le fait pas, c’est parce que la politique des comics est très différente. Sur les X-Men, le dessinateur vedette c’était Chris Bachalo (au point que Ramos est parti travaillé sur les New X-Men pendant Messiah Complex, juste après avoir rendu ses épisodes avec Mike Carey); sur Spider-Man, Marvel a fait appel à Olivier Coipel pour assurer la saga Spider-Verse (ce dernier finira par travailler en tandem avec Camuncoli).
