Alors que la série Heroes s’apprête à faire son retour à la télévision sous le titre Heroes Reborn, l’éditeur Titan Comics annonce la publication en parallèle d’un comic Heroes Vengeance écrit à quatre mains par les producteurs Seamus Fahey & Zach Craley et illustré par Rubine.
De par sa nature, Heroes a toujours entretenu un lien étroit avec l’art séquentiel (notamment grâce aux participations fréquentes de l’artiste Timm Sale qui illustrait les peintures prémonitoires d’Isaac Mendez). Lors de la diffusion des premières saisons, la chaine NBC proposait sur son site un webcomic auquel ont participé des auteurs réputés comme Joe Casey, Joe Kelly, Steven T. Seagle, Duncan Rouleau (les « Man of Action ») et Mark Sable.
Cette annonce de Titan Comics enterre définitivement le projet d’adaptation que prévoyait l’éditeur Dynamite Entertainement avec le scénariste Cullen Bunn aux manettes.
