Franchement, je n’ai pas aimé la prestation de Venditti sur le titre. Facile et pas terrible sont les mots qui me viennent en tête. Alors que j’aime beaucoup son Hawkman à côté (qui a su très bien se rattraper des Snyderies obligatoires).
Son premier arc était vraiment basique, le 2éme avait un peu plus d’idées (Jim Corrigan ne supporte plus d’être le spectre, il a donc réussi à s’en débarrasser en s’enfermant dans le Tartarus sous Themyscira, mais du coup, le Spectre n’arrive pas à se trouver un nouvel hôte et infecte de ce fait toute la planète), mais bordel, que c’était mal exécuté.
Du coup, quand Simon Spurrier (X-men LEGACY !) est annoncé pour un arc, je suis curieux. Eh ben, c’est bien mieux. Un début d’arc intéressant sur une race d’aliens nomades de l’espace, une race divisée et une impératrice tyrannique, et surtout … qu’est-ce qu’on fait après avoir sauvé ces gens ?
Pas un grand arc, mais un début largement plus intéressant que ce qu’on a eu juste avant. A voir si les 2 numéros suivants continueront dans cette lancée !

Quelques notes prises sur les 3 numéros de Si Spurrier, à savoir les numéros 48-50.
Justice League 48 : Un début d’arc intéressant sur une race d’aliens nomades de l’espace, une race divisée et une impératrice tyrannique, et surtout … qu’est-ce qu’on fait après avoir sauvé ces gens ?
Après les 2 arcs faciles pas terribles de Venditti (le 2éme sur le Spectre était un poil mieux), Simon Spurrier (X-men Legacy, Doctor Aphra) continue la valse des scénaristes, mais relève le niveau. Aaron Lopresti au dessin est bon !

Justice League 49-50 : suite et fin d’un arc que l’on pourrait qualifier de filler en attendant une nouvelle équipe créative stable. Et j’ai bien aimé cet arc.
Bien meilleur que les 2 arcs de Venditi, il y a quand même quelques défauts. Certains personnages semblent un peu plus idiots à l’accoutumée (pas des masses), mais cela est sans doute du à un fin … L’équipe n’a que 3 numéros pour raconter beaucoup de choses.
C’est une astuce souvent utilisée dans ce genre d’histoires courtes, où l’on est obligé d’accélérer les choses pour rentrer dans la deadline. Est-ce que Justice League a vraiment besoin d’être en bimensuel ? Pas sûr, hein …
Ce souci mis à part, l’histoire est plutôt bien. Pas subtile, mais toujours à propos sur pourquoi les super-héros ne doivent pas régner (même avec de bonnes intentions). Et si jamais vous lisez des choses politiques, c’est sans doute pas votre imagination.
Malheureusement un poil trop rapide (que 3 numéros, et en bimensuel …), ce « filler », si je puis m’exprimer ainsi, passe bien. Et la prochaine fois ? Une autre équipe créative ! Sérieusement, quitte à faire ça, DC, passez au moins le titre en mensuel.
Enfin, on verra bien ce que vont faire Jeff Loveness, Robson Rocha et Daniel Henriques, dans une histoire qui semble vouloir parler psychologie, et qui a sur sa couverture une plante bien connue des fans de DC.
Voilà, j’espère que ce petit retour pourra vous aider. Un arc court, sans doute du déjà-lu, mais au moins maîtrisé et vraiment meilleur que la moyenne des arcs de ce genre.
Ca me rappelle vraiment le volume précédent, où Christopher Priest a livré une petite dizaine d’épisodes avant la relance prévue à l’avance.

Bon, c’est quand même pas passionnant.
Joshua Williamson livre un récit très classique et prévisible ici. On accompagne complètement Dark Nights : Metal, avec un groupe improvisé (Nightwing, Hawkgirl, Detective Chimp, Lex Luthor et sûrement Martian Manhunter) pour retrouver et libérer la Legion of Doom dans un monde ravagé.
C’est fait sans gros défaut, mais sans passion. Ca se lit, mais ça s’oublie vite, et même les « monstres » croisés ne sont pas originaux. C’est un peu bavard, le cliffhanger sur un Batman Martian Manhunter, houhou n’a rien de « grand » dans cet événement avec trop d’Evil Batmen.
Xermanico livre de jolies planches et je le répète, ça se lit bien. Mais ça n’a strictement aucun intérêt.
