En amont des débuts du personnage en « live action » (dans le film Superman de James Gunn), Rex Mason alias Metamorpho va bénéficier d’une série régulière signée Al Ewing (Immortal Thor, Absolute Green Lantern) et Steve Lieber (Superior Foes of Spider-Man).
