Seul survivant apparent de Stormwatch, la machine à tuer **Midnighter **se fraie un chemin hors du titre Grayson pour devenir le héros de sa propre série sous l’impulsion du scénariste Steve Orlando (Undertow) et du dessinateur ACO.
A noter qu’il ne s’agit pas de la première série consacrée au membre le plus lunatique de The Authority. A l’époque où le label Wildstorm était encore en vie, il fut le héros d’un titre régulier supervisé par Garth Ennis et Chris Sprouse, puis repris plus tard par Keith Giffen, Jon Landry et ChrisCross (2006-2008).
Je sais pas. Ce qui m’inquiète plus c’est son intégration au DC Universe où on a Batman et où les extrémités du wildstorm Universe n ont jusque là pas eu leur place.
Ca dénature pas mal le concept et/ou l’affadit.

Très graysonesque cette série. En même temps, c’est normal c’est le spin-off de la série.
ACO fait du Janin, Orlando (que je ne connais pas) joue bien avec les cases et utilise bien le potentiel de badass du personnage. Il en résulte pas mal de baston (tuer un mec avec un osso bucco) et des scènes assez gratinées (les doigts dans le cul, par exemple).

Je me disais que je tenterais bien cette série au vu de la preview du premier épisode, mais s’il y a déjà un fill-in dès le numéro 2 dont le dessin est mal dégrossi et bancal en prime, ça refroidit.
Vous êtes sûr qu’Alec Morgan travaille sur Omega Men? J’ai vu le nom de Barnaby Bagenda dans les crédits des deux premiers épisodes.
En ce qui concerne le boulot qu’on voit ici d’Alec Morgan, je trouve ça très mauvais. Décors hésitants et sommaires, perspectives approximatives et personnages malmenés, ça fait vraiment amateur (sérieux, la case en vue subjective à travers les yeux de Midnighter, c’est un massacre).
