Voilà une annonce qui devrait ravir les nombreux inconditionnels de la série Deadpool. Suite à la « mort » de ce dernier prévue pour le numéro anniversaire (#250), le titre sera remplacé par Mrs. Deadpool and the Howling Commandos et écrit en solo par Gerry Duggan (sans Brian Posehn donc).
Cette nouvelle série verra une version de Shiklah, impactée par les évènements de Secret Wars, livrer une guerre sans merci à son ennemi juré Dracula avec l’aide de la nouvelle équipe de Howling Commandos composée du Loup-garou Russel, de la** Momie Vivante**, de Frankenstein et de Marcus, le Centaure invaincu.
Si aucun dessinateur n’a été annonce pour le moment, on sait que l’artiste en charge des couvertures n’est autre que Ryan Brown (qui a déjà collaboré avec Duggan sur la série digitale Deadpool: The Gauntlet)
Comme je le pressentais depuis un moment vu le léger changement de ton du titre (et j’en avais déjà parlé je ne sais plus trop où), il semble que Brian Posehn quitte la partie.
L’idée de mettre en scène une nouvelle version de La Légion des Monstres me plaît bien…quant au départ de Posehn, Duggan développe tout de même pas mal de choses intéressantes en solo, donc je reste confiant…

The leader of the Howling Commandos is Jack Russell. He’s a fun character to play with and he has some great interactions with Shiklah. They butt heads a little bit because she assumes she will be running the show while Jack is already the de facto leader of the Howling Commandos when they embark upon this crazy journey that they go on.
I also like the dynamic between team members Marcus, the Unbeatable Centaur with an alien symbiote, and the Living Mummy. In writing them I discovered that they were a fun pair to put together. It made for a cool, well balanced, action-adventure super hero team made of monsters. They all have different strengths and weaknesses, and they butt heads (and agendas) Anyone that liked « The Gauntlet » will enjoy the tone of this.[/quote]
