Témoignant du souci de diversité que promeut Marvel Comics avec son catalogue Marvel Now, l’éditeur publiera une nouvelle série Ms. Marvel par G. Willow Wilson et Adrian Alphona dans la cadre de la deuxième vague de titres « All-New » Marvel Now.
Pour remplacer Carol Danvers (qui a repris le nom de son mentor Captain Marvel) dans le costume de Miss Marvel, l’éditeur présente Kamala Khan; une jeune musulmane de 16 ans ayant développé le pouvoir de changer de forme depuis l’incident des brumes tératogène (Inhumanity).
Sortie de Ms. Marvel #1 en février 2014 avec une couverture de Sara Pichelli.
