Bof, bof : ni bon, ni mauvais, juste passable. Bryan Hill enchaîne après sa mini-série Black Lightning et un one-shot Power Company pour un autre one-shot, pour réunir des personnages d’une nouvelle Power Company… et ça m’emballe peu. Notamment parce que c’est essentiellement une aventure de The Next Batman, Jace Fox exilé à New York mais amené à Atlanta par The Signal, dont le cousin métahumain a été tué violemment avec ses parents par des anti-métas inspirés par Amanda Waller. The Signal le fait collaborer avec la Power Company de Josiah Powers, avec Black Lightning en retrait et Vixen. Ils découvrent que le tueur est un nouvel Agent Liberty que Jace stoppe seul mais il se retient de le tuer. Il refuse d’être employé de la Power Company mais est disponible en cas de menace critique.
Bof, oui. Bof parce que déjà, c’est trompeur car c’est essentiellement une aventure de cet autre Batman avec les autres en guests ou vague soutien. Et bof car c’est une aventure basique, ni bonne ni mauvaise, un peu longue mais efficace. Ça se lit, mais ça s’oublie, avec des dessins hétéroclites de Khary Randolph, Alitha Martinez, Norm Rapmund, Ray Anthony Height,m et Studio Dkye Studio.

Passable sur le fond mais frustrant sur le principe.
