Je suis pas super fan de Charles Soule à la base, et pas super fan de Red Lanterns non plus, mais j’avoue qu’il mène bien sa barque sur le titre. Les scènes de discussion au sein du groupe sont plutôt bien troussées avec quelques moments pas cons, il arrive à reprendre le côté contestataire, subversif, anti-religieux et grinçant de Milligan, mais il fait ça de manière moins voyante, il gère bien les idées éditoriales « à la con » et là, sur l’arc « Atrocities », il donne à l’intrigue une dimension à l’échelle de l’univers DC, mais sans que ça passe par un cross-over. À l’ancienne, quoi, avec apparition de personnages au détour d’une case, mais sans rien d’autre. C’est sans prétention (et tant mieux, d’ailleurs), mais il parvient à humaniser une bande d’assassins sans caractérisation réelle, tout en réfléchissant sur l’implication de pouvoirs liés à la rage. Tout cela est plutôt bien vu. C’est le titre qui m’intéresse le moins dans l’univers des lanternes vertes, mais il témoigne de la qualité générale de cette reprise après le départ de la bande à Johns.
