RUNLOVEKILL #1-2 (Eric Canete, Jon Tsuei)

Le trop rare Eric Canete fera son grand retour dans le monde des comics en avril avec la mini-série RUNLOVEKILL sur laquelle il collabore avec son ami Jon Tsuei.
Elle suit la chasse en deux temps de la fugitive Rain Oshiro, d’abord dans le passé où elle a 24 heures pour fuir une ville barricadée; puis dans le présent où elle jauge les choix qui l’ont amené jusqu’ici.

[size=150]INTERVIEW DE JON TSUEI ET ERIC CANETE[/size]

Je viens de lire le premier TPB.
C’est pas mal du tout. C’est speed, parano, futuriste, on dirait du Remender, mais sans les voix off plaintives et chouineuses qu’il nous assène d’ordinaire. Donc c’est nettement plus fluide.
Et l’ensemble repose surtout sur la performance graphique de Canete, en pleine forme. Hélas court-circuité par des effets d’informatique un peu trop présents, qui étouffent le trait. Avec une colo plus sobre (genre, comme dans sa série Iron-Man), ça aurait été mieux.
Mais c’est très sympa.
Quelqu’un sait si c’est allé au-delà du quatrième épisode, cette affaire ?

Toujours pas. D’après ce que j’ai compris, Eric Canete travaille sur cette mini-série (prévue en 8 épisodes) en même temps que son boulot dans l’animation et il a pris beaucoup de retard…
