Le dessinateur Dustin Weaver a mis un point final à la seconde mini-série S.H.I.E.L.D..
Sur son blog, il explique que si les deux numéros ont mis autant de temps à être bouclés, c’est parce que le scénariste Jonathan Hickman et lui-même ont été très occupés par les séries Avengers et Infinity, mais aussi plus personnellement par Edge of Spider-Verse et un projet encore secret.
Pour rappel, S.H.I.E.L.D. suit la formation de La Confrérie du Bouclier sous la supervision « d’agents historiques » tels que Imhotep, Zhang Heng, ou encore Galileo; et d’agents réguliers comme En Sabah Nur, Howard Stark et Nathaniel Richards; jusqu’à la scission entre les adeptes de Newton et de Léonard de Vinci en 1956.
Si aucune date de sortie n’a été annoncée, Marvel devrait publier les deux derniers numéros dans le début de l’année 2015.
Des nouvelles concernant la conclusion de SHIELD ? D’après le rédacteur en chef Axel Alonso, il faudra attendre que Jonathan Hickman se dégage un peu de temps pour boucler la série:
Apparemment, l’artiste Dustin Weaver n’a mis un point final qu’au matériel qu’il détenait (et pas à la mini-série contrairement à ce que j’annonçais précédemment).
Maintenant qu’il s’est dégagé du temps en concluant Secret Wars, le scénariste Jonathan Hickman promet de s’y remettre et peut-être même de plancher sur un nouveau projet pour la Maison des Idées:

Les deux derniers épisodes de la mini-série S.H.I.E.L.D. sont enfin complétés et prêts pour une publication annoncée pour mai 2018.
Marvel accompagnera cette sortie par un numéro spécial intitulé S.H.I.E.L.D. : The Rebirth qui compilera les 4 premiers numéros.

Alors autant, depuis, Hickmann a pu me convaincre chez Marvel avec ses Fantastiques, ses Vengeurs et ses Guerres secrètes, autant son S.H.I.E.L.D. m’a laissé un souvenir tellement médiocre que je ne me souvenais même pas que c’était inachevé.
