Lors du SDCC, le scénariste Tom Taylor (Superior Iron Man, All-New Wolverine) et l’artiste Steve Pugh (Age of Ultron Vs. Marvel Zombies) ont révélé qu’ils collaboraient sur un one-shot lié à la saga Secret Wars et consacré à l’équipe des Agents of Atlas. Dans ce numéro spécial, l’équipe de Jimmy Woo travaille en secret dans la ville archi-surveillée de Zemo. Jusqu’au jour où Jimmy disparait !
Très peu connu en France, les Agents d’Atlas sont une équipe constituée de héros datant des années 50. Elle est dirigé par l’agent Jimmy Woo et comprend Marvel Boy, Vénus, Namora, M-11 et Gorilla-Man. La série fut relancée en 2006 par Jeff Parker et Leonard Kirk. Malgré un succès critique, elle eu du mal à perdurer dans le temps et survécu au rythme des sagas évènementielles sous l’obstination bienvenue de l’éditeur.

J’avais adoré la série par Parker et Kirk. Ensuite, ça a été plus inégal, mais cette bande de personnages était attachante.
Là, la présence de Pugh aux dessins est prometteuse. Celle de Taylor au scénario, beaucoup moins (je découvre « Superior Iron Man » en vf, et c’est franchement pas terrible).
Tom Taylor, moi je suis plutôt fan. J’aime beaucoup son Injustice League, son SIM est pas mal (pour le moment seulement deux épisode ça permet pas de se faire une bonne idée).
Je ne connaissais pas Tom Taylor, mais je te rejoins. Les deux premiers épisodes m’ont plus plu que ce que j’ai lu par Gillen !
Cette série parait presque évidente, à sa lecture !
Ce serait bien cool si dans le « All-new, all-different Marvel », une place était faite pour une nouvelle série consacrée à « Agents of Atlas » : ça se solderait certainement encore par un bide, mais j’aimerai bien retrouver ces personnages.
