Mal et son célèbre groupe de contrebandiers feront leur grand retour à bord du Serenity dans une nouvelle mini-série en 6 numéros scénarisée par Zack Whedon (frère de) et illustrée par Georges Jeanty, qui délaisse pour l’occasion la partie graphique des séries Buffy: The Vampire Slayer dont il s’occupait depuis la huitième saison.
« Serenity: Leaves on the Wind » se déroule neuf mois après les évènements du film « Serenity » qui se concluait sur le massacre de l’équipe par les Reavers. Le titre de la mini-série fait référence à la dernière phrase du pilote Wasch avant sa mort: « I am a leaf on the wind, watch how I… »
Si la mini-série est un succès, Dark Horse pourrait modifier ses plan concernant son format. Le premier numéro sortira le 29 janvier.
Excellente nouvelle…j’ai hâte de retrouver l’équipage du Serenity. Zack Whedon avait fait du très bon boulot sur le one-shot The Sheperd’s Tale dessiné par Chris Samnee.
