Nnedi Okorafor : « Shuri is an African young woman of genius level intelligence who is obsessed with technology and has traveled spiritually so far into the past that she’s seen Wakanda before it was Wakanda. The Ancestors call her Ancient Future. And she’s super ambitious. What do I love about her? All that and more. She’s a character in the Marvel Universe who really sings to me. »

Description: The world fell in love with her in the movie. Now, the Black Panther’s techno-genius sister launches her own adventures – written by best-selling Afrofuturist author Nnedi Okorafor and drawn by Leonardo Romero! The Black Panther has disappeared, lost on a mission in space. And in his absence, everyone’s looking at the next in line for the throne. But Shuri is happiest in a lab, surrounded by gadgets of her own creation. She’d rather be testing gauntlets than throwing them. But a nation without a leader is a vulnerable one - and Shuri may have to choose between Wakanda’s welfare and her own.
Description: The search for T’Challa begins! The king of Wakanda has been missing for weeks. Now, his little sister is tired of waiting. It’s time for Shuri – with a little help from Storm of the X-Men – to go save her brother for what must be the millionth time. But Wakanda expects the princess to take the throne – and the Panther mantle – once again. Can Wakanda survive without a Black Panther? Can Shuri?
In the pages of Shuri, writer Nnedi Okorafor, artist Leonardo Romero, and colorist Jordie Bellaire have crafted a compelling tale of Shuri taking on new responsibility in her brother’s absence.

Description: All of Wakandan history and culture is under threat as the Space Lubber that followed Shuri all the way from the depths of space back to Wakanda makes its move! To stop it, Shuri and her allies will have to go deep into the Vibranium mines - which doesn’t sit well with the claustrophobic Storm!
