1-Grosso modo j ai d excellents souvenirs de cette série, surtout le Kingpin par Rucka et Risso mais y en a d autres (ennis, Cooke…)
2-Les Deadly hands, ja i pu reconstituer la collection. C est assez inégal mais il y a de trés bons trucs comme l origine du White tiger et Jack of Hearts… J aime aussi les Daughter of Dragon (c est d ailleurs surement la partie retenue de l excellent Bizarre Adventure #25… sympa quoi
c est surtout que la partie Shang Chi sera pas reedité a mon avis… ils ont négocié les droits pour des omnibus d ou le prix… mais en attendant un peu on peut arriver à les payer autour de 70€ FDP compris…
3-L annual de Cap est trés décevant, je trouve… (et puis aujourd hui on rigole à la derniere phrase du captain…)

Précisons pour ceux qui seraient intéressés que l’essentiel du contenu consiste en des histoires sous forme de prose illustrée, ce qui est somme toute formellement cohérent pour un personnage inspiré de héros publiés en leur temps dans des pulps. En gros, c’est à peine une trentaine/quarantaine de pages de bande dessinée pour un livre essentiellement fait de nouvelles. Reste qu’aussi ingrat qu’ait pu être ce travail pour Alan Davis à l’époque, c’est une prestation visuellement soufflante qu’il a livré au sein de sa carrière du peu que j’ai entraperçu. En se pliant à l’exercice de l’illustration en noir et blanc, le dessinateur se prend à représenter les textures et les modelés en s’appuyant sur un jeu de hachures et d’aplats noir saisissants de profondeur, avec de subtiles variations dans ses effets pour distiller les ambiances et dépeindre le rendu des éléments naturels (le vent, l’obscurité percée au clair de lune). C’est amusant également de constater que le trio Alan Moore/Jamie Delano/Alan Davis a sévi sur un certain nombre de travaux communs à l’époque.
