Déjà plus là Kaare Andrews ?
C’est la bérézina chez Marvel.
En regardant les différentes previews, la branche comics ressemble un peu à ce qui se passe au cinéma chez eux, plus rien ne tient debout ! Plus rien ne donne envie!
Je me considère encore comme un Marvel zombie, mais la branche comics de DC à l’air plus cohérente, plus intéressante. Plus “stable”, un comble pour une maison qui n’a eu de cesse à rebooter ou changer ses personnages au grès de nombreuses crises (de mon point de vue de néophyte)
Oui, “à l’air”. Mais en grattant bien, on se rend compte que là bas aussi, tout n’est pas aussi merveilleux qu’on veut bien le faire croire. La ligne Absolute (et pas tout en plus) et le prolifique Dan Mora, c’est un peu l’arbre qui cache la forêt. La plupart des titres “All in” excepté Batman, Superman (un peu) et la JLU, sont des “échecs commerciaux”. Dans le top 50 de juillet, la diversité de familles de heroes est plus diversifié chez Marvel que chez DC.
Le jeu des chaises musicales va redevenir nécessaire à force (comme en 2012 & 2018).
À mon avis, il faut une réforme des droits d’auteurs pour
- Ou faire revenir des noms vendeurs
- Ou pour garder les auteurs en pleine ascension qui vont se rendre compte qu’une fois bien installés, l’herbe peut être plus verte ailleurs.
Et je ne pense pas que ce soit une option envisageable pour Marvel
Même si sur le principe je souscrit à ce que tu dis sur la politique des droits d’auteurs, encore faudrait t il que ce soit la déroute au niveau des ventes. Ce qui est loin d’être (encore) le cas. Marvel est toujours leader devant DC.
Effectivement Marvel Now était une réponse au New 52 de chez DC. Mais la grande différence était que le second trustait le top 50 (pour pas dire le top 100) à l’époque. Ce n’est absolument pas le cas actuellement.
Etre leader d’un marché à phase terminale, mouais… Après, je ne parlais pas forcément des ventes. Pour redonner envie , il faut arrêter de systématiquement regarder dans le rétroviseur. Que tu joues sur des codes, sur une continuité, je n’ai rien contre, bien au contraire, mais faudrait peut être penser à créer des opportunités, à faire (re)venir des mecs qui ont envie de raconter quelque chose (qui peut être en lien avec le passé hein), faire avancer les choses. Mais faut créer des tendances et arrêter de surfer dessus comme ici reprendre l’esthétique 90’s comme si ça manquait aux gens! Je peux comprendre les nostalgiques des X-Men de Jim Lee et de la Saga du Clone, mais notre génération “sait” qu’au final, c’était pas terrible.
Je me demande souvent quel plaisir il peut y avoir à bosser pour Marvel! A part le “prestige”…
Genre la période Krakoa qui, au dire de certains, ne faisait pas assez Xmen ?
Après, il faut aussi noter que le lectorat Marvellien peut paraître plus conservateur qu’ailleurs.
