Après Unknown Soldier, le duo Jimmy Palmiotti/Justin Gray (All-Star Western) tenteront une résurrection des « comics de guerre » en relançant le célèbre titre Star-Spangled War Stories. L’histoire se concentrera sur le G.I. Zombie a.k.a. Jared Kabe, un soldat mort-vivant qui apprécie le temps qu’il passe sur Terre. Les deux scénaristes retrouveront, pour l’occasion, le dessinateur Scott Hampton avec lequel ils avaient travaillé sur la série Black Widow.
Star-Spangled War Stories #1 sortira en juillet 2014.
