Après Jason Aaron et Kieron Gillen, Greg Pak (Incredible Hulk) sera le nouveau scénariste de la série Star Wars à partir du #68. Pak s’installe donc durablement sur les comics de la Saga des Etoiles après les numéros spéciaux Age of Rebellion en cours de publication aux U.S.A.

Après Jason Aaron et Kieron Gillen, Greg Pak devient donc le nouveau scénariste de la série Star Wars pour sa dernière ligne droite, les 8 derniers épisodes avant la période de L’Empire contre-attaque. L’Empire lance dans la galaxie des milliers de sondes spatiales pour débusquer les membres de l’Alliance Rebelle et leur nouvelle base. Pour retarder l’échéance, le général Rieekan décide d’envoyer nos héros dans trois missions qui ont pour but de détourner l’attention de l’Empire. Trois groupes sont alors formés : Luke et R2, Han et Leia et Chewie et Sispéo. Et comme on pouvait s’y attendre, ces plans ne vont pas se dérouler sans accrocs…
Un très bon début pour ce long arc : la caractérisation est soignée; les nouveaux personnages sont intrigants; c’est dynamique, enlevé et efficace et aux dessins, je trouve Phil Noto plus inspiré que lors de son passage sur la série de Poe Dameron. Bref, très chouette début pour Greg Pak sur les séries régulières Star Wars…
La première série Star Wars se termine sur une longue aventure bourrée de rebondissements. J’ai bien aimé la construction du récit, notamment la façon dont les trois missions séparées finissent par se rejoindre pour un final explosif qui ne manque pas de visuels accrocheurs (très chouette, la surprise réservée par les habitants de K43 !). Dans le style, ça m’a un peu rappelé le comic-book Marvel des années 80. Une saga très divertissante, menée sans temps morts !
