Dès mars, l’éditeur sortira le dernier numéro « Stray Bullets #41 » jamais publié, un omnibus « Stray Bullets: The Über Alles Edition » compilant l’intégrale de la série et une nouvelle série « Stray Bullets: Killers #1 ».

I’ve designed « Stray Bullets » for the kind of reader that I am. I don’t go into comic book shops regularly, so when I go in, I don’t want to pick up stuff that I’m going to be confused by when I’m reading. If I get stuck with my life and come back to something three months later, I want to come back to a series and just pick up the story. One of the elements about « Stray Bullets » is that every issue is new-reader friendly. When you start getting up into 30, 40 issues, people see the number and feel alienated, like they have to go back and read the previous stuff. I think people could jump in on « Killers » #4, but seeing the #1 makes it easy for new readers to jump in.

Richards [Ron Richards, Director of Business Development chez Image] then mentioned that the Uber Alles Edition is a paperback edition in the vein of the Walking Dead Compendiums and it’s clocking in at over 1,200 pages and will be 59.99, but with an only one-time printing for the direct market. « So if people want this, be sure to get their orders in by March because we’re only doing this once! »

Non, plus sérieusement, je ne vais pas spoiler Stray Bullets pour ceux qui ne connaissent pas encore.

Stray Bullets, pour moi, c’est juste un pur chef d’œuvre. Ce qui est assez étonnant, c’est que David Lapham n’a pas fait grand chose de folichon depuis, en tout cas rien à la hauteur de SB.

Belle bête, en effet. J’espère juste que la reliure tiendra bien le coup.

Je me le mets de côté pour le lire (plutôt devrais-je dire relire) cet été. Ça va être un grand et long moment de plaisir, je crois.

Je n’aurais pas le temps pendant mes vacances donc je partirai sur une lecture feuilletonesque sans doute, à raison de quelques épisodes par semaine (j’avais pensé à un par semaine mais ça me prendrait huit mois pour en venir à bout à ce rythme).
