Il a écrit une mini-série Nightforce illustrée par Tom Mandrake, parue l’an dernier. Avant le relaunch de 2011, il a écrit une bonne douzaine d’épisodes de Nightwing et il a terminé le graphic novel New Teen Titans : Games avec Georges Pérez, jusqu-là resté inachevé et resté dans les limbres depuis les années 1980. Quelques autres mini-séries pour DC sur Raven et Vigilante, et il aussi participé au scénario du jeu Epic Mickey 2.

Je confirme, c’est assez sympa (j’en parle ici). Dans la lignée du précédent cross-over « H’El on Earth », et visiblement drivé par Lobdell, qui écrit ou co-écrit tous les chapitres.
À ce sujet, je me demande dans quelle mesure Lobdell n’aurait pas prévu un certain nombre de péripéties sur sa série, et que les aléas éditoriaux (arrivée et départ de Diggle…) n’auraient pas précipité un peu ses plans. Par exemple, le petit cross-over qui précède, « Psy-War », je me dis que c’est peut-être quelque chose qu’il avait prévu en trois épisodes de Superman, quoi… Enfin bon, je ne sais pas trop, mais ça donne des comic books divertissants et sans prétention, pour l’instant, donc c’est pas si mal.
Bref. Là, l’épisode est musclé, il suit les trois héros dans des missions séparées, et c’est mis en scène par Ed Benes qui semble pour le coup davantage inspiré par Neal Adams que par Jim Lee. Du coup, ça donne un petit air d’Eddy Barrows à ses planches, et je n’irai pas m’en plaindre.
