Après The Woods, Ufology et Memetic/Cognetic, le scénariste James Tynion IV (Detective Comics) dévoile le titre de sa nouvelle série chez Boom! Studios : The Backstagers.
Lorsque Jory fait son entrée à l’école pour garçons de St. Genesius, il pense que rejoindre l’équipe de coulisse consistera à porter quelques décors et autres tuyaux. A sa grande surprise, il découvre qu’une porte en coulisse mène vers des mondes très différents, et tous ses collègues sont déjà au courant !
Pour l’occasion, J. Tynion IV fait équipe avec le dessinateur Rian Sygh.
