Les scénaristes Cary Bates et Greg Weisman (producteur exécutif de la série Star Wars : Rebels) reforment leur duo pour s’occuper de la nouvelle série The Fall and Rise of Captain Atom #1 à la demande de DC Comics.
Pour la petite histoire, les deux auteurs collaborèrent ensemble dans les années 80 pour relancer le célèbre héros atomique de Charlton (héros qui servit de modèles au Docteur Manhattan de Watchmen).
Ils travailleront cette fois-ci avec le dessinateur Will Conrad (Angel & Faith) pour expliquer ce qui est arrivé au Captain depuis sa dernière apparition.
Le premier numéro sort le 4 janvier 2017 aux États-Unis.
Ca serait pas la première fois que le persos est plus ou moins lancé dans cette direction. J’espère que ça sera bien. Le perso m’a souvent intrigué et donné envie de lire.
Ca a finalement été fait dans Countdown to Final Crisis, je pense quand même pas qu’ils vont encore nous le remettre. Surtout vu le retour critique sur cette mini-série.
