De Ghosted à The Haunted Mansion, il n’y a qu’un pas que le scénariste Joshua Williamson s’apprête à franchir. Il a été engagé pour transformer la célèbre attraction La Maison Hantée du parc Disney World en une mini-série « horrifico-comique » avec l’aide du dessinateur Jorge Coelho (John Flood).
Le héros de l’histoire est un jeune garçon du nom de Danny. Il est appelé expressément par la Maison Hantée pour venir en aide au fantôme de sa tante bien-aimée disparue depuis peu. Ce faisant, il finit par secourir les autres spectres de la maison, piégés et incapables de trouver la sortie.
