L’actuelle série Incredible Hulk s’arrêtera au #30…pour être remplacée en novembre par Infernal Hulk, avec les mêmes auteurs aux commandes, Philip Kennedy Johnson et Nic Klein.

On prend les mêmes et on recommence. Phillip Kennedy Johnson et Nic Klein enchaînent sur la même ligne que The Incredible Hulk, avec ici le corps de Hulk possédé par The Eldest, enfant aîné de The Mother of Horrors qui a dévoré ce qui restait de celle-ci quand l’on a découvert son décès après que Hulk ait été utilisé pour ouvrir la porte de sa prison. Hulk-Eldest ravage une ville et ses défenseurs, en transforme un en Monstre et crée un Royaume de Monstres pour tous les faire venir. La nouvelle se diffuse, les Avengers s’inquiètent et le Bruce Banner séparé de Hulk entend cela…
C’est bien. C’est la même approche que précédemment, avec beaucoup de lenteur, de grandiloquence dans le propos, des éléments dark et du body-horror fort bien géré par les dessins intenses et crades de Nic Klein.
On recommence sur les mêmes bases, ça me va.

C’est beau. C’est ce que l’on aurait dû lire ds le volume précédent. Au lieu de devoir se fader ces numeros pas très interessants.
Ca te permet d’apprécier encore plus cette suite.
Bourrin et bien. Phillip Kennedy Johnson poursuit sur sa ligne, lente et intense, avec ici The Eldest qui va sous l’eau, alors que Namor est alerté par Bucky / Black Widow / X-23 (ses collègues des New Avengers) mais il se moque de leurs conseils. Cependant, un monstre marin légendaire est éveillé par The Eldest, et la créature refuse de se soumettre en l’absence de The Mother of Horrors. L’entité « mange » The Eldest, qui ressort et soumet le monstre, puis augmente sa puissance. The Eldest rejette les remerciements de Namor, qui entend suivre les conseils des Surfaciens et veut retrouver Bruce Banner… qui semble s’être trouvé une vie rangée et morne en répondant au nom de David !
C’est bien. Bien bourrin, bien intense, bien crade grâce à un Nic Klein qui fait énormément dans l’appréciation positive du titre, avec une ambiance formidable. Le numéro est en soi assez simple mais efficace, et le final dessiné par Kev Walker sur Bruce intrigue.
Du Hulk par PKJ classique, mais je continue d’adhérer.

Le 1er était fun, le 2 me laisse indifférent. Et l’arrivée de Kev Walker annonce un Klein qui ne fera pas le prochain ? Ou un Klein qui n’a pas pu dessiner les dernières pages ? Déjà ?
Je ne me souviens pas qui dessinait les dernières pages du précédent, avec David Banner.

Je crois que c’était Klein.
Après, si le #3 est juste sur Banner avec Walker, ça me va. Tant que les différences de dessinateurs ont du sens, je suis OK.

Je pense que c’est Bruce qui se ment à lui-même, « blablabla c’est derrière moi ».
Ça colle avec le portrait d’un Bruce très soumis et passif jusque-là. Full victime.
