En juin, Brian Wood (DMZ, Northlanders) lance sa nouvelle série en creator-owned intitulée The Massive en compagnie de Kristian Donaldson chez Dark Horse. Les deux compères se retrouvent après avoir travaillé ensemble sur DMZ et Supermarket, publié en VF par Milady Graphics.
The Massive est un conte écologique racontant les aventures d’un groupe d’écologistes qui, après une catastrophe environnementale, se retrouve à devoir se démener dans un monde en ruine, à revenir sur leur parcours et à se demander ce qui a bien pu merder après que la bataille pour sauver notre écosystème est perdue.
Des mini-histoires d’introduction présentant certains des personnages ont été publiées dans les anthologies Dark Horse Presents 8 à 10.
À notre que lors de l’Emerald City Comiccon, Brian Wood a annoncé qu’il y aurait dans les magazines des bonus qui ne seront pas dans les versions TPB ou numériques et ce pour remercier et privilégier les lecteurs qui font vivre la série dès le départ.
