Ben c’est le début classique d’Ultraman, tout simplement…

Je trouvais surtout qu’il y avait une certaine résonance graphique et au niveau de la couleur.

Ah, je l’ai acheté, mais pas encore lu (seulement feuilleté vite fait)…
Reprendre un personnage aussi oublié que Ultraman
Euh… Oublié ?
Il y a presque tous les ans une nouvelle série TV, et il y a eu une douzaine de films dans ces vingt dernières années, quand même… Sans parler du manga commencé il y a une dizaines d’années.
Non, Ultraman est loin d’être oublié.
Presque inconnu des occidentaux, je veux bien, en revanche.

Je n’ai jamais réussi à prendre cette série au sérieux.
Certainement la faute à l’affreux jeux vidéo sorti sur Super Nintendo. Je dis ça mais on y jouait souvent avec mon frère. C’était vraiment très très mou et inintéressant. Mais ça nous faisait rire… 
Sinon, Ultraman n’est pas oublié. Il suffit d’aller voir dans les magasins spécialisés au Japon. On en trouve partout.
Petit HS : ce qui m’a également surpris, c’est l’omniprésence de Kinnikuman (alias Muscleman en version française) dans ce type de magasin. Je pensais vraiment que c’était une série anecdotique.
Qu’est-ce qu’il était chiant et dur, ce jeu… Et sa suite (Ultra Seven) était exactement sur le même modèle (mais il n’est sorti qu’au Japon, lui)… Oui, j’ai poussé le vice jusqu’à acheter la suite ! ~____^
La série a une bonne fanbase… Et le manga est toujours en cours au Japon (la prépublication vient d’ailleurs de reprendre dans le weekly Playboy).
Un des co-auteurs était venu à Japan Expo (sans être annoncé)… J’avais réussi à obtenir une dédicace… La file était essentiellement constituée de Japonais !
