L’adaptation du second tome de la série The Strain (La lignée - Del Toro, Hogan), intitulé The Fall, débutera en juillet 2013 chez Dark Horse. L’équipe créative, composée du scénariste David Lapham, du dessinateur Mike Huddleston et du coloriste Dan Jackson, reste la même.
Le docteur Ephraim Goodweather a échoué dans sa tentative de tuer le vampire à l’origine du virus qui se répand dans les rues de New York. Le monde est au bord du chaos, mais Eph ne peut pas abandonner son fils, Zack, traqué par son ex-femme devenue vampire.
