THE FORBIDDEN PLA-NUT PART 3! For the first time in the HISTORY of comics, we present the color-coded fight we’ve all been waiting for: GREEN (Doreen) ON SILVER (Surfer)! And if fighting the Herald of Galactus— a man who literally has the Power Cosmic at his disposal — isn’t enough, Doreen’s got other problems to deal with, including intergalactic scam artists, Drax the Destroyer and LOKI LAUFEYSON. FEEL the thrill of the fight! SEE it happen, via artisanally selected images and words juxtaposed in deliberate sequence! HEAR the words in your head via your inner voice as you read them, which when you think about it is kind of weird! All we have to do is write down words on a piece of paper, and suddenly they’re re-created in your mind exactly as we intended. Minds are crazy, and language is EVEN CRAZIER. Anyway, please enjoy this comic about a girl and her talking squirrel in space.

• Will they be trapped there… FOREVER??
• We’re not answering that last question because you’ll have to buy the issue to find out!

Description: Doreen Green (A.K.A. the super hero Squirrel Girl) and her friend Nancy Whitehead (an unrelated civilian) have had a great idea: Let’s get some friends together and play an escape room! Escape rooms are those real-life games where you get locked in a room and have an hour to escape before you die! They gather Koi Boi, Chipmunk Hunk, Brain Drain and, as a special guest…their good friend Kraven the Hunter.
Description: Trapped in a deadly room from which the only escape is death, Squirrel Girl and Kraven must try to figure out a way to survive! But who is pulling the strings? Why does someone want them dead? And even if they can escape, what guarantee do they have that their troubles aren’t just beginning? All that plus Brain Drain, Koi Boi, Chipmunk Hunk and more await you.
Description: Squirrel Girl and Kraven have had a nice day out as civilians, instead of their usual costumed identities! It was really straightforward and uneventful. Instead, Squirrel Girl and Kraven battled Mojo’s evil clone and saved the city from his deadly machinations. Then they all got arrested! When Doreen Green and Sergei Kravenoff end up behind bars, can they be saved? Will they even make it to trial? And who will be their lawyer? It’s obviously going to be none other than Jennifer Walters, the incredible She-Hulk! Doreen behind bars! Kraven on the stand! And a conclusion to the trial that nobody will see coming!
Description: Squirrel Girl may have avoided going to jail, but now Kraven’s a fugitive on the run! It’s been a difficult day! Can Squirrel Girl stop Kraven and Spider-Man from fighting before it’s too late? Can a squirrel named « Haskell » be a major part of a super hero epic? Can Brain Drain use some well-applied existentialist philosophy to save the day?
Description: In this special, standalone, all-silent, she and Iron Man face off against a villain neither has seen before – who will render them quite literally speechless!
Description: « The Death of Squirrel Girl. » Has the Unbeatable Squirrel Girl been beaten? Is this truly the end of Doreen Green? We haven’t canceled the comic so it doesn’t seem likely, but can you really be sure? Plus: This issue also has Wolverine in it for literally several pages!
Description: Squirrel Girl…is alive? Yes! The good news is, everyone’s favorite squirrel-themed super hero is alive and well! But the bad news is: Whoever replaced her…was a shape-shifting alien Skrull, and now Team Doreen doesn’t know who to trust! Mysteries deepen and allegiances are tested in this issue as…a shocking Skrull is revealed! It’s not Nancy, though. Nancy’s great.
Description: Last issue ended with Squirrel Girl and someone claiming to be Iron Man getting into a fight! Will this issue show you how that fight goes and who wins and why? The answer: yes! But with an Iron Man imposter on the scene, that means the real Tony Stark is missing! It’s up to Squirrel Girl and her friends to find Tony before it’s too late: for him and the world. Unfortunately for Squirrel Girl – as this comic is within the super-hero genre of sequential art, one that relies on high-stakes narrative storytelling filled with twists and turns that result in the world never being the same – what she finds is not what she expects and the world will never be the same!

a key moment of Marvel’s past as it reveals the backstory of Squirrel Girl’s latest foe: a mutant Skrull seeking refuge on Earth. G’illian was rejected by her peers for her abilities, and sought to escape her country’s militaristic culture by making a new home for herself on Earth.
Description: Nancy Whitehead and another ESU student by the name of Peter Parker are taken hostage by a super villain intent on proving that she’s the smartest person on the planet! Then it’s super-hero battles featuring Thor and She-Hulk on a date! Squirrel Girl matching wits against Ms. Quizzler!
CELEBRATING 50 ISSUES OF SQUIRREL GIRL! It’s the 50TH ISSUE of THE UNBEATABLE SQUIRREL GIRL! That’s right: this issue — #42 — is our 50th! It says #42 on the cover, but that’s only because we had eight issues, and then a second #1 in our first year, although this of course doesn’t count the OGN (SQUIRREL GIRL BEATS UP THE MARVEL UNIVERSE), which is another five issues of story, which would put us at… issue #55? This is getting complicated. Anyway! By a certain way of counting, it’s our 50TH ISSUE of THE UNBEATABLE SQUIRREL GIRL! And to celebrate, we’re doing a stand-alone story in which she takes on none other than… KANG THE CONQUEROR. It’s a battle across space AND time as Kang attacks three distinct eras of Doreen! And it’s not just Kang who is joining us for this celebration! Original UNBEATABLE artist Erica Henderson is joining series regular Derek Charm, along with Naomi Franquiz! THIS IS A REALLY GOOD ISSUE AND WE’RE SUPER BIASED BUT WE THINK YOU SHOULD ORDER IT, THANKS.

You know how Squirrel Girl has stayed out of most Marvel events? Turns out, that was only because THOSE events didn’t involve her good pal LOKI LAUFEYSON! When Earth is attacked as part of the WAR OF THE REALMS, Squirrel Girl is called back from her Negative Zone vacation, and Loki recruits her as part of a secret mission! Is Loki running a scheme? Probably. Is he playing a trick? Almost certainly. But he NEVER lies about the safety of his good friend (and Cat Thor creator) Nancy Whitehead, and that puts him and Doreen on the same side. It’s Squirrel Girl’s first BIG EVENT CROSSOVER… but it’s still the start of a stand-alone epic that you can still enjoy even if you only read SQUIRREL GIRL! Also if you’re reading this because you’re thinking, “Hmm I’m big into WAR OF THE REALMS but do I really need to see what happens in SQUIRREL GIRL” then let me say WOW DO YOU EVER, THERE’S A REVEAL ON THIS LAST PAGE THAT’S BEEN IN THE WORKS FOR YEARS!
