A new chapter of Marvel’s blockbuster new Ultimate Comics line arrives this May in ‹ Ultimate Spider-Man: Incursion, › a five-issue limited series by Deniz Camp, Cody Ziglar and Jonas Scharf.
Launching in May, ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN: INCURSION will be delivered by some of the most exciting comics talent working today: bold ULTIMATES storyteller Deniz Camp, acclaimed MILES MORALES: SPIDER-MAN scribe Cody Ziglar, and rising star artist Jonas Scharf, known for his brilliantly moody work on the recent ULTIMATE UNIVERSE: ONE YEAR IN one-shot.
Paying off seeds planted by Ultimate Universe architect Jonathan Hickman at the very beginning of the new line, the long-awaited story finds original Ultimate Universe inhabitant Miles Morales swing over to the new one for an adventure that brings him into contact with the characters and events of the line’s five current series. It’s a crossover saga—Ultimate style! The series will also lay the groundwork for startling developments on the horizon, including the return of the Maker!

Maystorm s’appelle Mei de prénom et prend Maystorm en pseudo après avoir entendu parler de Storm en Afrique.
C’est certain qu’à ce rythme, Peach Momoko n’aura jamais de soucis de cohérences entre ses personnages et le reste de l’univers Ultimate.
faut qu’il change de styliste Morales, ses costumes alternatifs sont tous plus immondes les uns que les autres, celui ci en vibranium (?) c’est le moins pire va t’on dire ( bon déjà si celui de base était dessiné correctement pas tout les artistes…)

Pas mal ; pas mauvais, pas brillant, mais pas mal. Deniz Camp & Cody Ziglar sont chargés de narrer la première rencontre entre l’univers Marvel classique et le nouvel univers Ultimate, via le passage de Miles Morales… qui vient du premier univers Ultimate, donc c’est quasi une triple rencontre au fond. On suit le FCBD récent, où Miles se confirmait ne pas vouloir répondre à l’invitation de venir formulée par The Maker et jeter la carte « de transport », mais sa soeur Billie la touche et file dans le nouvel univers Ultimate. Miles la suit, n’arrive pas à la choper dans le vortex, et la cherche ensuite avec l’aide de Peter & Richard Parker, ce dernier prenant le pseudo « Venom » proposé par Miles accidentellement (car le fils de Peter porte le costume I.A. initialement créé pour ce Peter adulte). Le Peter adulte est vexé que son fils trouve Miles si cool, puis ramène Richard à la maison quand l’heure avance trop, après qu’ils aient tous affronté un Spot doté de super-pouvoirs par ce Tony Stark local aussi. Miles continue de chercher, alors que le Conseil de The Maker capte les deux incursions, liées à l’énergie de The Maker, et veulent en savoir plus. Comme les Ultimates, qui envoient les Wasp & Ant-Man nouvelle version pour interpeller Miles !
Bon, c’est sympathique mais sans grand emballement. Les deux scénaristes écrivent bien un Miles que je trouve bien grandi, et la confrontation avec les Peter & Richard est cool (bien que, encore une fois, comme dans The Spectacular Spider-Men, le Peter semble plus « neuneu » que Miles, même si ici ça a du sens vu l’expérience limitée de ce Peter). La réaction des forces vives Ultimate est pertinente, et l’ensemble est fluide… mais finalement basique quand même, sans grosse surprise. Jonas Scharf illustre ça solidement, mais son style un peu « sale » correspond peu, à mon sens, à l’ambiance.
Une bonne lecture, mais sans folie.
