Très bon. J’en suis le premier surpris, et ravi.
J’ai plusieurs fois tenté les productions de Si Spurrier sur Krakoa, et Nightcrawler, et plusieurs fois lâché, n’étant pas « dedans » et n’appréciant pas ses délires. Là, j’aime beaucoup et ça me fait plaisir.
On apprend ainsi que, après ses errances récentes, où il était transformé en vrai démon par sa mère adoptive et les manigances de Mother Righteous, Kurt a abandonné Krakoa et s’est en fait rapproché de Spider-Man pour… se retrouver, en prenant le rôle d’un autre Spider-Man. Il s’est installé aux environs de Central Park et aide, une personne après l’autre, pour s’aider lui-même à se remettre. On le voit ainsi en intervention, s’essayant à l’humour, tandis qu’une mystérieuse entité (un Bamf blanc qui semble n’apparaître qu’à lui) l’accompagne, lui parle et l’aide à ne pas être repéré par une Sentinelle Stark. Des fans de Spidey, du site SpideyStans, viennent l’acclamer, et il file. Il échange avec Peter, tandis qu’il est identifié par Orchis et notamment une section dirigée par… le Vautour, plutôt le Directeur Vautour, qui a fusionné avec des éléments de Warlock et torture Rahne. Toomes est surtout intéressé par le processus de résurrection des Mutants, pour repousser son âge. En parallèle, Kurt sauve une jeune fille, croise une SDF qui semble être une Mystique déphasée, et… surtout, Silver Sable et son Wild Pack arrivent pour l’appréhender !
C’est très bien, oui. Si Spurrier me plaît beaucoup ici, avec un très bon mélange d’humour (vraiment drôle), d’émotion (Kurt perdu ainsi, c’est bien fait), de surprises (Directeur Vautour, cool) et de bons moments. On a vraiment Nightcrawler dans l’univers Spider-Man, c’est top et bien fait. J’aime bien les SpideyStans d’ailleurs, la page d’échanges en ligne est bien drôle. C’est prenant et efficace.
Graphiquement, Lee Garbett propose de très bonnes planches, plutôt jolies et dynamiques. Très solide.
Une très bonne surprise.

Très bon.
Si Spurrier enchaîne très bien, en avançant de bonnes pièces et en jouant sur le côté charmeur de Kurt. Et ça fait plaisir ! Ici, Kurt discute avec une Mystique très perturbée, aui évoque les conditions de sa naissance, avant d’être attaqué par le Rhino. Ce dernier est envoyé et contrôlé par Orchis, comme Kurt l’a été dans une crise récente. Silver Sable envoie le Wild Pack, s’implique et flirte avec Kurt, tombant sous son charme à son corps défendant. Kurt file ensuite, laissant Sable bien embarrassée.
C’est très bien, oui. Si Spurrier gère très efficacement, avec un Kurt vraiment charmeur et fun, ce qui est très agréable après tant de temps d’intrigues lourdes. C’est léger et entraînant !
Graphiquement, Lee Garbett propose des planches fluides et efficaces.

RELEASE THE HOUNDS!
Silver Sable’s commission heats up! Nightcrawler’s a slippery devil, and he’s not about to surrender and let Orchis continue to terrorize NYC. Plus, you know, he’s not too keen on the whole « murder all mutants » plan. Has Sable signed up for a gig she can’t play? And when Orchis realizes her heart’s not in the game…who will they send to finish the job?

Sympathique et réussi.
Si Spurrier me plaît définitivement ici, avec un Kurt qui prend du « fun » à embêter Orchis et leurs créatures contrôlées pour l’arrêter (ici un Déviant)… tout en couchant, la nuit, avec Silver Sable, adepte de la séparation vie pro/vie perso. Kurt essaye aussi d’aider Mystique, toujours perturbée, alors que Nimrod permet de lancer le projet du Vautour : des Mutants fusionnés avec Warlock, possédés, qui chassent Kurt. Toomes s’injecte l’élément pour ne plus vieillir.
C’est bien, oui. Si Spurrier maintient le trouble sur Kurt, notamment ses visions, mais retrouve le fun et la légèreté du personnage. Ça fait du bien, et plaisir, et l’ensemble fonctionne bien, notamment la relation décomplexée avec Silver Sable.
Graphiquement, Lee Garbett continue une très belle et efficace prestation.
Un bon moment, bien maîtrisé.

Très fort.
Si Spurrier continue sa très bonne saga et exploration de Kurt. Il croise Peter avec qui il combat une Stark Sentinel et une foule extrémiste, prête à lyncher un livreur de pizza soupçonné d’être Mutant. Mystique rôde encore, Kurt essaye d’aider sous la surveillance lointaine de Silver Sable. Celle-ci pousse Kurt à prendre ses responsabilités même si c’est dur, et il va voir Mystique… pour une discussion à voir dans le one shot de la semaine prochaine. Silver Sable est forcée par son équipe à renoncer à son projet d’abandonner la mission, et elle piège Kurt qui est emprisonné par Orchis.
C’est très bien, oui. Si Spurrier est très fin et très bon ici, avec un Kurt extrêmement bien écrit et profond. C’est prenant, un peu drôle quand même, intelligent et fluide. Top.
Graphiquement, Lee Garbett maintient sa prestation solide et fluide.
Très juste dans le ton.
