Après le run de Donny Cates (ayant produit Absolute Carnage puis King in Black), c’est au tour du run d’Al Ewing (Immortal Thor) d’engendrer un autre event centré sur les symbiotes (et cela en amont de la sortie du 3ème film Venom de Sony). Un conflit père/fils chez les Brock servant de climax aux intrigues de ce run, avant de probablement laisser la place à un relaunch par une autre équipe créative.
L’annexe du FCBD Spider-Man/Ultimates montre quelques pages où Al Ewing et Iban Coello annoncent Venom War. Un Dylan Brock paumé évoque une vision où son père lui aurait annoncé un caraclysme cosmique à venir, mais il ne le comprendrait que lorsqu’il serait vieux. Ça tombe bien, l’interlocuteur de Dylan est un Dylan âgé venu du futur et copie de Cable.
Court, surprenant, un peu facile sur l’identité du personnage final mais intrigant. Le graphisme est correct et ça donne envie de jeter un œil. C’est l’objectif, et c’est réussi.

J en suis au 2 ça se lit comme Venom… y a des idées mais ça ne me prend pas sur le long terme…
Ewing joue avec le temps… l espace… il fait du kang et du câble avec Venom… ça a des moments d autres moins mais ça se lit bien
