En 2019, Marvel fêtera son 80ème anniversaire. La Maison des Idées rendra notamment hommage à ces huit décennies de publication en relançant plusieurs titres axés sur des genres tels que l’horreur, la guerre, le western et la romance le temps d’une série de numéros spéciaux.
Les deux premiers titres prévus pour janvier 2019 ont été annoncés aujourd’hui au New-York Comic Con.
Howard Chaykin et Phillip Kennedy Johnson seront les scénaristes de War is Hell.

En général, je n’aime pas les couleurs de Dean White, mais là, je trouve le mariage assez épatant.

Et le style emprunté par Panosian est bon aussi !
Depuis quelques années (un peu avant le lancement de sa série au Lombard, grosso modo), il a proposé un style plus cartoony, plus hachuré, et perso, je suis grave client.

Dan Panosian a posté la version N&B sur son compte twitter :
J’adore ce style nerveux, lâché, presque brouillon. Ça m’évoque le trop rare Eric Canete. Panosian, au moins, on le voit souvent.

Bien content de revoir Dean White qui se faisait plus rare (?).
(le seul coloriste à m’avoir donné envie de lire une série en voyant son travail)
J’ai vu sa signature sur pas mal de couvertures ces derniers temps…mais pas souvent sur des pages intérieures…
EDIT : Dean White est le coloriste de American Carnage, une nouvelle série VERTIGO qui débute en novembre.
